New Challenge at Die Cut Divas

Hi Lovelies,

This month it's my turn to be a Diva Hostess at Die Cut Divas.  I am challenging you all to make a project using Washi Tapes or a Birthday project.  How easy is that!  Here is my card to inspire you.

This is a very simple card to make.  I printed out the Digi butterfly onto Copic paper & then coloured it in with Copics.  I added two strips of Washi Tape to the top right & then a button with twine over it.  I had the vine flourish left over from another project so added that as the butterfly's tail.  I added pop dots to the wings just to make it look as though the butterfly was flying off & used a Hero Arts' stamp for the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope that I have inspired you to give this challenge ago.  Don't forget to pop over to the Die Cut Diva Challenge blog to see what my fellow Divas have created & leave them some love as well.

Supplies:
Washi Tape
Cherry Lane Die - Fanciful Flourish
Cuttlebug
Button
Twine
Hero Arts - Digi Flutterbies, CL139 Birthday Messages
Copics - BV000, BV00, BV02, BV04, Black Multiliner 03
Distress Ink - Shaded Lilac

Thank you Hero Arts from the Divas

Hi Lovelies,

As some of you are aware I'm on the Die Cut Divas DT team.  March was hosted by the very lovely Dawn & sponsored by Hero Arts.  So to say Thank you to Hero Arts we decided to make a few Thank you cards.  You can see what my fellow DT members have done by visiting our blog here.  Any hoo I thought I would share my card here with you all as well.

I wanted to make something bright & cheery so used this sketch from Mojo Monday as my inspiration.  Of course all stamps on here are by Hero Arts.  The butterfly is from the digi kit Flutterbies. I used this background stamp (one of my favourites) & the sentiment is from this set.  Which is one of two sentiment sets that I love to use all the time.

Don't forget that a new challenge is beginning for Die Cut Divas on the 1st April & I will be your hostess.  I can't wait to see what you all come up with.  Happy crafting my friends.

Hoppy Easter every Bunny!

Hi lovelies,

Well I can't believe it!  Easter is almost over, the Big Bunny has been & gone here & the girls have almost demolished all their eggs.  Although here they only got a few eggs from EB.  One shaped like a rabbit & some smaller chocolate Angry birds & some eggs filled with beans (think Smarties).  They also got some stickers.  Which is just as messy as chocolate around here! When I got up this morning I was greeted by Lils who had a chocolate ring around her mouth & was decorating her PJ's with some stickers.  But hey they had fun.

I have had a productive day as well.  I have transferred my precious cards from all my bloggin' buddies & great friends over to a Display board that my good friend Helen made for my birthday a month ago.  So of course that means I have even more cards on display now & makes my bare walls look really good.

This is the gorgeous Display board that Helen made for me.  I just love it.  You can't really see it clearly here, but she has used some gems on elastic as the hanger part.  It looks amazing, especially now I have some of these beautiful cards on it.  Can you see any that you have created?  I just love looking at all your amazing art.  It cheers me up all the time.

This is the board I made ages ago.  I have displayed all the cards that open to the sides on this one.  As well as ATCs that I've made or have been given.  I have also got some of Emsy's art on this board as well.  The purple tea cup is hers & I just love it.  I enjoy looking at all these amazing cards everyday (have I said that already lol).

I have also made some cards for my DT work, so happy about that.  I can't wait to share them with you, so here is a Sneaky Peek at one of them ;)

Ok lovelies, Doug is just about to go to work.  So I'm off to supervise the snakes kidlets.

Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch 111

Hi Lovelies,

Today's sketch for Try Stampin' on Tuesday is a really good one (well aren't they all)!  I love how so many ideas flow from this sketch.

I decided to give this first card a masculine feel.  Since I'm so low on Birthday cards.  I used the emboss/resist technique with Distress Inks on the stamped panel.  I used the yellow pp for this panel just so I got some added texture.  I really love the colours of Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge & Pumice Stone together.  They really make that fern leaf stand out.  I'm breaking out some stamps I haven't used in ages as well, which is helping the Mojo return as well.

This next card has to me a retro kid feel about it.  Not sure why though?  Maybe it's the colours of the red & blue.  Anyway I did a little paper piecing on this card for the cupcake, fussy cut the red banner & balloon out. I used pop dots on the balloon to make it look like it's floating.  The best bit was this was a really quick card to make.

Well the snakes kidlets seem to be very quiet at the moment so had better go & find out what chaos & mayhem they've gotten themselves into this time.  Take care & sending hugs to you all.  Oh please don't forget about my little give away here.

Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch 110

Hi Lovelies,

Today I have another wonderful sketch for you from Try Stampin' on Tuesday & two cards that I made with the sketch.  I have discovered this week that I only have three birthday cards in my stash.  So with this in mind I decided that I needed to make at least two cards for each sketch that I do over the next few weeks.  Hope you don't mind.  I also challenged myself to use the same pp for each card but to use it in different ways.  So here are today's samples for you:

As you can see I have reversed the ways I have used the pp.  I also used the same Copics, gems & sentiment stamp set on both cards.  What do you think?  I am so happy with these cards, I feel really proud of myself today.  No crappy cards in sight (woo hoo), despite the girls constantly nagging me with kidlet stuff  (in the good kind of nagging).  I don't even feel guilty for making cards today.  Especially after sitting at this craft desk for half of yesterday trying to muster up the Mojo to make something.

Well lovelies, I am off to try & create & comment on as many blogs before Doug get's up (then I'm off to do the vacuuming.)

Please don't forget about my little give away here.

TSOT#109

Hi Lovelies,

Today I have another fabulous sketch for you all from Try Stampin on Tuesday.

As you can see I have stuck pretty close to the sketch.  Sketches are wonderful things, as when I have bouts of no Mojo I can follow a sketch & know that I will at least be able to create something worthwhile.  I am still struggling at the moment. But am slowly getting back into things.  I have to admit I hate feeling like this & think I will have to go see a doctor soon.  Hate taking anti depressants :(.  Well lovelies I had better be going the in-laws have just turned up.

Please don't forget about my little give away here.

Happy crafting everyone
