Do you ever get the feeling that some stamps make card making so much eaiser than others? Or that when you put certain stamps, inks, techniques & emblishments together that the card you create is beyond what you could ever hope for? Well if you even remotely understand what I am trying to say. Then you will know what this card is to me :). I am so very pleased with this card on so many levels.
But firstly I have to give a shout out to Dawn :) who along with that amazing card she sent to me also included a some stamped Anya images. Thank you so much Dawn, they are just the most awesome images :D. I can see why every one seems to love them so much.
I was really lucky today, not only did my wonderful friend Helen come over to "play" but when we went to our LSS part of our order had arrived :). So both Helen & I got our new Antique Brocade cling stamps. Which we then had to use straight away of course ;P. So I had a wonderful day all round.
Of course it was helped along by a wonderful product...............Mylanta :D. I finally got to a chemist that could help me. I can't tell you how wonderful I have felt all day. Heartburn is not fun, I've decided!!! Anyway have a great Halloween & weekend. TTFN

Christmas Tag
Hi all,
Well I am still getting some crafting done :). I made this tag earlier this week, with my new Darkroom Door stamps. This particular set has been discontinued so I'm really pleased that I grabbed it when I did. I am so happy with the outcome of this tag that I am thinking of making some more. Although all those pearls seem to be a little on the overkill side.

Lookie what I got & a little bit of news :D
Hi all,
I know it's been awhile since I last posted. I have been a little pre-occupied over the last week.
I thought I would share what I recieved in the mail today :D. I got this fantastic card from the very lovely Kathy who is a wonderfully talented cardmaker & has her blog here & her flickrstream is here.
Kathy what can I say, other than this is one amazing piece of art. I love every single tiny detail on this wonderful creation. Your colouring is perfect as is your placement of gems. I also love the layers of string/floss on the ribbon. Your cards are so wonderful in cyber space but up close & personal they are just so, so much more. This card is definately going on my cube book case. Along with all my other wonderful cards from family & friends. Thank you, thank you so much I love this card!!!!
Now for my little bit of news. Em is going to be a big sister in June/July next year. I have yet to get a confirmed date but will keep you all posted. So my mojo has decided to go on hols for a while while the wanna be sick & tireds have moved in ;P.
Take care & have a great week end - TTFN

Something a little different
Hi all,
Well for about the last week now I have been in a mojo slump. I have not even been anywhere near my craft desk in fact. So tonight in desperation I went through some of the blogs I have booked marked but haven't had much of a chance to get to. One of which is this blog *e* & the flickr group 52Q a year of mini art journelling. This is something that I have admired for ages but wasn't quite game enough to do. So tonight I decided that I am going to do it. I probably wont join the group so that I don't put any pressure on myself. But this is such a good way for me to try out new techniques, as the tags are smaller than cards. It also lets me use my non Hero Arts stamps & not feel guilty about it.
So tonight I tried out a few newish things for me & basically played with colours (can you tell I love blues & greens at the moment?). I have used the emboss resist, spritzing distress inks on a kraft mat & smooching the paper in it. I also tried Jennifer McGuire's latest video here at the two peas website. Which shows how to create unique backgrounds using a variety of techiques.
I also want to say a huge thank you to the lovely Anne who on her blog here shows how to customise your blogs in easy to understand instructions (& most importantly pictures) than even a techno challenged person like me can understand. Have a great night/day & happy crafting every one TTFN

ATC's as promised :)
Hi all,
Well since I've been feeling a bit down & mojoless this week I thought I would post some ATC's that I have started doing. These three I've made since Hero Arts had them as a challenge two weeks ago. I really like making them & can see why people are so addicted to them. I would also like to give a Huge thankyou to my wonderful friend Arlene for sending me the info on what you put on the backs of these ATCs. Arlene's blog is here & her flickrstream is here so if you get a chance you should check out some of her ATCs.
Hero Art Owl is from Lucy who was kind enough to stamp up some images & send them to me earlier this year. I have wanted to do something with this cute little guy ever since I got him :). I kept this one fairly simple by just adding a scrap of Basic Grey paper from the porcelain series onto Black Cardstock.
Celebrate Owl is actually from a free digi kit called Indie Pops on the Two Peas website. All I did was to cut the image down to fit. I then added Kindy Glitz & Diamond Glaze for a little sparkle.
Butterfly Screen is basically a test ATC. I tried out a few new techniques for me. I did the emboss resist & then used my distress inks on a craft mat & added water to smooch the ATC in. I also experimented with my new alcohol inks on the flowers.
Well thank you for popping in & your wonderful comments. Have a great week ahead & TTFN

Digi cards for Eric
Hi all,
I am doing my first card drive thingy :). My lovely friend Kathy asked if I would be interested in sending some cards to Eric & his family. I am hoping to make some more cards for the family, but thought I would post my first two here. If you are interested in doing something wonderful for someone you don't know then may I suggest that you click here & check it all out. I figure I'm paying it forward :D, by doing something I love for someone I don't know.
I have finally done it, I have advanced to the techno stuff of Digital stamps & papers. I spent most of last night surfin' the 'net trying to find stuff suitable for boys. Do you know that there is absolutely nothing out there!!!! Well in the freebies any way ;P. I did manage to find lots of stuff that I liked & even some papers that I could use on boy type cards. Mind you the downloading part was sort of easy it was getting into all the files that I had problems with. I eventually managed though & created the two cards that you see with some of my new found goodies.
Sending you warm wishes : I have used the stamp image & the red paper from my raid of the 'net. I coloured the cat in with my prisma color pencils & then used the Copic blender to "smooth" the colours out. I went over his sunnies with my black Copic Multiliner & a white gel pen. I also added some grey shadows on one side. The blue bazzil dot paper is from my scrap stash. The sentiment is by Hero Arts.
Friends are Angels: For this card I have just used a freebie paper & my friend Helen's stamp (thanks Helen). I am not 100% sure on this card. I am thinking maybe I should add something else. I stamped the butterfly twice & coloured it with my Twinkling H20s. I am pleased with the way the butterly turned out. I glued the body down but left the wings free so they curl up.
Now I know that I promised ATCs the last time I posted, but as they are for the Hero Arts ATC Swap, I can't share till they are in the hot lil' hands of the others. I have been making some just because so I hope to upload them later in the week. Till then, thanks for stopping by & for your wonderful comments. TTFN

PS I just decided to enter this card into the latest Caardvark's challenge here as this card has never been entered into any challenge & because it has a huge bow on the front ;P.
