A belated Easter share

Hi all,

Here is one of the things I made with my winnings from Jo's give away I won on her blog recently. I made this card for Em.

I used up scraps I had left over from one of Deborah's CCC. I just love these Lili of the Valley stamps!!! They are just so wonderful.

I also made up three easter bags, but forgot to take photos before I gave them away. Silly me :(.

If you want to see some more fantastic LOV stamps being used can I suggest that you go to Deborah's blog here & here to check out what she has done with some of these gorgeous stamps. I just love the way that Deborah has coloured these cards.

Well that's all for now ;) Have a great day - TTFN

This is what preggers looks like ;)

*Warning long non crafty post*

Hi all,

Just thought I'd share a couple of "very unflattering" photos of myself ;)!!! My loving dh took these two pics today as we did something simular when "we" where preggers with Em. I was a bit on the hot & tired side when we took these & it wasn't even lunch time yet!

I wanted to go outside to take these as the background scenery is a lot nicer & it's sunny :D. But my guy being a guy.............well you get the idea.

Doug doesn't think these photos show my "real" size or as he put it "How huge you actually are". Men can be so tactful can't they!?! Lol.

I am feeling so much better now thanks to 3 lots of antibiotics. I didn't realise how bad I was feeling until yesterday. It's amazing how a chest infection can wipe you out. Dh has a "man cold" so has been complaining about how tired he is, poor lamb.

I have managed to complete about half a dozen or so Baby thank you cards, still have heaps to do though. I am also in the middle of washing as it's been sunny for two whole days now. I love the rain, but after nearly two months of it, I think we've defianately had enough. At the moment I have my pram, Baby capsule/car seat out in the sun drying & am about to get a load of baby gear out of the machine to hang out. Then it's onto the normal washing. I want to get as much done as possible before the rain decides to come back.

Lastly something a little crafty ;). I have got myself a Tim Holtz Alterations Die "Bird Cage". It is stunning. I just love it & it works so well in my trusty cuttlebug! Mind you it helps that I saw it in action whilst in my LSS the other day. I am hoping to have something to share with you all later in the week.

Well my washing machine has finished so I have to go - TTFN

Hi all,

Below is half a card that I had started before getting sick. These I am thinking of doing as my thank you cards. So I have about four half made cards sitting on my cardmaking desk. What do you think? Are they boring, too plain or ok?. I must admit in real life the colours are a little darker. But since it's still raining (I swear we've had 3 days of sunshine since the beginning of March!!!)I had to scan the card. I have used bazzil, bazzil dot, & plain card for the construction of this card. The buttons, ribbon & Kindy glitz is the only other things that I have added. I used my Copics to colour the housemouse image. I am trying to keep the colours gender neutral since we don't know what Bug is yet.

Well after two weeks of antibiotics, ventalin & cough syrup. I am finally on the mend. I have gone from a chest infection to what I describe as a bad cold. I even got the ok from my obst, yesterday. Which is such a relief. Consindering I hate taking medicines whilst preggers, I wont even take a panadol for a headache unless I am made to! Today is really the first time in ages that I have felt like doing stuff. I've have been so tired & icky that it's all I can do to get up in the morning. Em though has ben having a great time with her two sets of grandparents on the coast. She has had a sleep over at my Stepmum & Dad's place & then dh's dad & partner have had her for a few days, plus she has been going to preprep as well.

Today we all had a sleep in, which was wonderful. Since getting up I have taken Em's new curtains up so they aren't sitting on the floor. It was a quick job, but I have litterally haven't had the energy to do them. It helped that Doug took them off the rods & then put them back for me.

Well I'm off to do stuff while I feel I can ;) TTFN

Sick & tired :(

Hi all,

Yet again it's been awhile since I last blogged. I've been sick again (& very tired), but this time I have a nasty rattle & a cough instead of morning sickness. If it's not one thing it's another lately. I got that bad that I spent last Wed night/early Thurs morning in the Emergency department (of our local hospital) with breathing difficulties. Luckily after all the tests the doctor decided that I had a virus & told me to get some cough medicine.

Which proved to be harder said than done, as one pharmacy told me not to take anything until I had seen my GP. So I asked for a second opinion at another pharmacy who said as long as I only took it once a day instead of 3-4 times a day (as the emergency dr said) I should be ok. So when I saw my GP today I got him to look at the medicine & to tell me how much I could take & how often I could take it. Besides the cough medicine I now have a puffer & some antibotics. Hopefully by the end of this week I should be all better :D. Which will be nice.

All these medications are Bug safe - Thank goodness!!! As I was worried about the little tacker ;). We are now down to less than 10 weeks, YAY!!! Mind you having said that, I still have heaps to do in the nursery. It's been that long since I blogged that I can't remember if the cot was up last entry? Well not only is the cot up, but it now has a new mattress as well. I am hoping to get all the baby clothes & linen washed this week as well. Mind you after about 3 days of sunshine (all day & night) we had a storm late yesterday & they are predicting more rain on the way - grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I'm sure the "gods" are laughing their butts off at the moment. Luckily I now have a dryer as well as an inside line.

Well that's enough for today - TTFN :D

Die Cut Divas :D Wana play with us?

Hi all,

Well today I want to chat about a group I'm in on Flickr. It's called Die Cut Divas. You can find it here. Basically it is a group for anyone who has a die cutting machine of any discription. Any one is welcome to join in & each month we have a fun challenge. The only rules being what ever you make has to include at least one item used on your die cutting machine. (Since I have a Cuttlebug & I don't know about the other machines I will use that as my example.) For instance you could use an embossing folder, as your one item or you could just use a die like a nestibility. But remember you could use both or if you have a different machine something from them. You are only limited by your imagination. Some times I use just about everything I can "throw at it", on a card (I know that's not like me ;D).

For this Month the theme is Babies. Babies of any kind - human or animal ;). To enter all you have to do is create something like a gift, a LO, make a card, create an ATC or whatever you so desire. JUST HAVE FUN! As an added bonus & honestly to keep people interested we have now started offering prizes.

Last month we had two enteries in the challenge & the prize was a choice of stamps offered up by the very lovely Arlene.

This month's prize is going to be supplied by me. I will be posting a a picture of the prizes on this thread. Which is where we ask every one who wants to play along with us to post a picture of the project they are entering. There are simple iinstructions on this thread how to post pictures, but if you have any problems you can always contact Arlene, Susan or myself & we will help.

As Susan, Arlene & myself are moderators of this group we have decided that we aren't eligable for the prizes but often we post something there for inspiration for everyone else. I do hope that you take the time to come & have a look & hope that I have inspired you to want to have a go. TTFN

Thank you Jo :D

Hi all,

Do you know what I love the most about this wonderful addictive craft of cardmaking? It's the people you "meet". Especially now in the techno world. I have met so many amazingly talented people, most of whom are on the other side of the world from me. I also love that these wonderful people (all of you) are so willing to share their passion, time, knowledge & creations with each other. To me it means a lot.

For example this wonderful card was a part of my prize from Jo. I was blown away that I actually won something :D, but then when the postie delivered the mail I found this wonderful card as well. Sorry about the aweful picture, but we still haven't had one day of complete sunshine :(.

The only problem I have is that you all can't see this card in person to fully appreciate the fantastic"ness" of this card. I can't wait to use the stamps that I recieved as my prize & to share them with you all. They are just soooooooooo sweet. If you have yet to see Jo's blog then I suggest that you go visit her here.

Have a "Hoppy Easter every Bunny" :D TTFN
