This wonderful award is from Hannah isn't she a sweetie. I am feeling a bit guilty now as I wasn't able to put this award up till now :( (& because I have no idea on how to create one myself). So if you all get a chance you should visit her blog or go to Hannah's flickr stream here. Well now I'm off to do some...................sewing!!!! Yes proper sewing with fabrics & not paper. I know, I know spoken like a true scrapper *sigh*. But I must get some quilts done as they have been in the back of my (demented) mind singing "what about me - it isn't fair" & no it's not the Shannon Knowles version either (ugggh). TTFN

Judy Jung card

Judy Jung card
Originally uploaded by pajalu (Paula)

HI all,

Well as you have probably noticed I've been awol again. This time I had no computer for a few days. Then my dh had an eye operated on to remove a growth. I know pretty gross huh. So I have been playing nursemaid since Tuesday, but he must be feeling a lot better as he was bottling his home brew today.

Now onto the really good stuff. As you can see I have posted a pic of a beautiful card made by the equally beautiful Judy Jung. Why do you ask? Well because the lovely Judy sent this wonderful card to me along with 2 Hero Arts Stamps & an ink pad. They are all prizes for partaking in the Hannah v Paula challenge that we did recently. This was totally unexpected but welcomed (hey who wouldn't like some really great goodies). So I just thought I'd share with you all what a wonderfully nice lady Judy is & I'd encourage you all to go & visit her flickr stream here. TTFN

Yes that's right we tied for first, second & that's it as it was only us two lol. (Can you tell I'm in a stupid mood this morning?) So if you would love a great read to start/end your day may i suggest that you head on over to Hannah's blog here & read what Linda (aka Oz) wrote. So now I am off to create mayhem (I'm not evil just misunderstood)& maybe a card or two. Take care & TTFN

My friend Helen :)

Has agreed to let me blog about her YAY. I met Helen through a scrapbooking store here on the Sunshine Coast called Daisychains. We met while attending the same Scrapbooking classes. As with all crafty people Helen is lovely, funny & wonderful to every one she knows. All I can say is I am fortunate to have her as a great friend. We lost contact over the Christmas period as her & my lives where so busy as is every ones. But when we caught up again it was like no time had passed since we last chatted. I really appreciate that kind of friendship. Since Christmas we have both given away doing Scrapbooking classes, as we seem to be getting so busy with other things in life. So what we do now is catch up at least once a fortnight either at the friendship day at Daisychains or at each others place. In fact Helen introduced me to the wonderful world of stampcrafting & the Hero Arts blog. So a huge thank you Miss Helen :-D. If you would like to see even more of her wonderful creations please head on over to her Flickr photo stream here. I think you will be very glad that you did. TTFN

Asian Nights (thanks Helen)

I have finally gotten some time to do some more challenges. This card is for the latest MojoMonday challenge week 86. I think that even though the background is white, this still reminds me of the night time. I think it is because of the black rectangles with the extra stamped images on them. I am really please with the way this card has turned out. Especially that tree image. I borrowed the tree stamp, owl stamp, lantern stamp & doll stamp from my good friend Helen. So once again thank you very much Helen. You would think that I don't own any stamps at the moment lol. I am slowly getting through all the stamped images from Lucy & Helen. TTFN

Whoo loves Ya? - Caardvark Challenge

I coloured the owls, branch & sentiment with prismacolor pencils. The two owls are actually seperate images, that I placed on the branch. I added the leaves just to soften the edges. I also found a little bag of yarns at my LSS & instantly thought they would make a great nest. I have been wanting to make this card for a while now. But hadn't had a chance till now. Thanks for looking & TTFN

Oh my, what have I done......

Hi all,

How have you all been? I've missed you, while I was "away" doing every day life stuff. But hopefully I am back to normal.........well as normal as my life is with a cyclone for a dd, shift worker dh & two cats who think they rule the roost. Sorry if I am not making a lot of sense at the moment, I have had a very busy day yesterday & am still recovering from it all. Oh to be younger again ;-D.

I did something on Friday that makes you think "Oh my, what have I done........" It's not life threatening, well not yet any way (only if my dh finds out *wink*). I went to my LSS for friendship day & laybyed $230 worth of Twinkling H2Os. Ithink that is about 50 pots worth from memory. I brought this many as they are not making them any more. I love the colours I have & wanted to expand on them, as they last for just about ever!!!!!!!! So when I saw that the order had finally arrived in store I just had to have them. I even phoned a friend to let her know they where finally in. I also got a set of clear stamps. I can't remember the brand, but there is a nice owl & bird images on it. So now all I have to do is pay them off so I can play. I figure in about 10 weeks time you will be seeing Twinkling H2Os on everything I do *grin*.

I have also got photos on my flicker stream of the Wedding Album that I just finished for my cousin & his wife. They where married yesterday afternoon at a lovely little chapel just outside of Maleny on the Sunshine Coast.

Well I have to go as Smudge is circling like a shark as she thinks it is dinner time. You would think I never feed this cat!!!! TTFN

Renee Award (thank you Hannah ;-D)

Hi all,

As you can see I haven't been around much lately. Due to the fact that I have been extremely busy with this & that. Isn't it strange how life sometimes get the better of you? Oh well I suppose it's all good in the long run. Especially when you get awards like this one below :). Miss Hannah passed this one onto me. A about a week ago mind you, but as I have been so busy I just haven't had any time to post. So as you can see I have to thank the person for nominating me so Thanks Hannah!!! Now for the good bit (not that recieving this wasn't good) who do I nominate? Well that's easy I am nominating the following people in no particular order as I love reading their blogs religously & I think they deserve the recognition:
Now to pass it on....The Renee Award was created by Bella and Ces in honor of their friend Renee. In Bella's own words: "this is a brand new award and I have the pleasure and honor of spreading the seed, watching it grow. I hope it finds it's way to those who are like Renee: the acorn, a small package becoming a tall and sturdy oak, giving more acorns, becoming tall and sturdy oaks, giving acorns..."There are no "rules" for claiming this award, but I would suggest the following:
Thank the person who nominated you for the Renee Award.Click on the picture above to see it larger, then download it and post it on your blog.Mention the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.Nominate others to receive the award.Comment on their blogs to let them know you nominated them.Visit Bella, Ces, and Renee and let them know you received the award and passed it on. Consider linking your blog post to them, too.
So now I'm off to let the lucky nominees' know about the fact that I have nominated them. TTFN

Reworked card.

Hi all,
As you can see, this was the card from yesterday's post. I replaced the two green circles with this one. I found it in my stash of goodies. All of which are leftovers from my scrapbooking classes. I managed to save the little bird as well from the "before" card. I used HA clear set CL309 for the sentiment. I figured I wouldn't stray to far from the orginial lines (or in this case circles) of the card. I think this works well. Well I'm off as my baby has just come home from an outing with the grandparents. TTFN

Cards & phobias!

Pink b'day card
Originally uploaded by pajalu (Paula)

HI all,

Well I know it's been a little while since I last posted anything. I have been so busy of late. Especially this last week & a bit. I was asked by one of my mothers from my mothers group to make 4 cards for her with specific things on them. So of course that meant I actually made about 10 or so cards to give her a choice. After I had made about 5 cards I sent her an email to show her what I was doing & to make sure that the cards where what she wanted. Which was lucky for me as this card is for her sister who has a bird phobia. I was unaware of this before making this card. So I then had to make a few different sister cards. In the end this card became no longer as the two cirlces where taken off this card & add to another card (on the inside). So now I have saved most of this card & added something else to it. I am hoping to post a picture tomorrow.

On a side note, I am still to start on a card for the Hannah v Paula challenge. Arggghh I am having a mental meltdown at the moment. Let's hope tomorrow brings some good ideas. Thanks for stoping by - TTFN
