Show & tell ;D

Hi all,

Well as promised here are some pics of the wonderful cards & tags I recieved on Christmas Eve. This first one is from the very talented Deborah aka Gigi. I just love this card/ornament!! I am seriously studying the way that Deborah has done her shading. If I can get anywhere near as good as this I will be happy.

This next card is by the very lovely Judy. I just love the use of the two colours on this card.

Last but not least is this wonderful card from Hannah, who along with the this card also included some tags from a Christmas tag exchange. Hannah asked each participant to make an extra one for me. I just have to say a huge thank you to all you lovely ladies for doing this. I just love each & every one of them!!! I can't thank you all enough.

Lastly I thought I'd include a pic of my "helpers" Mickey & Minnie in all their Christmas finery ;D. I have them as my table centre piece in the kitchen/diner on a mini quilt I made with left over Christmas fabrics.

Ok just one last thing. If you get a chance can I suggest that you check out my friend Helen's blog. She has just started one up this week. I am always inspired by what Helen does & not only that she is a wonderfully giving lady.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hi all,

I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Here in "Oz" Christmas Eve is only a few hours away. The excitement is building ;D, especially if you are 3 yrs old. We have nearly everything ready for when Santa visits. We have made Santa some biscuits & will leave him a beer (an Aussie thing) & the reindeer haven't been forgotten either. Em & I made reindeer food the other day & packaged it up especially for Rudolf & the other reindeer.

The postie has just arrived at our house & delivered some wonderful mail from my wonderful Hero Arts friends. What a perfect start to Christmas Eve I say!!! :D

Hannah thank you so much for the gorgeous cards, tags & paper cut-outs for Em (also thank you to all the wonderful ladies for making extra tags for me). They arrived just in time. Deborah your card/ornament is stunning. Judy thank you so much, for the beautiful card. I am going to take some photos very shortly & will post the pics in a few days.

To one & all I wish you all a very Merry Christmas - may it be filled with love, laugher & the joy of the season. TTFN

A simple Christmas Card ;)

Hi all,

Well I have finally done it!!! Yay to me ;). What may you ask have I finally done, well my friends the answer is "A SIMPLE" card. So what do you think? There are four layers on this card, if you include the raised stamped image. I know with simple cards less is more but I think I still managed to do a reasonable job with this one. Except for the white card base & the image everything else is scraps. I am slowly starting to conquer the huge pile of scrap paper I've seemed to have accumilated over the last few years.

Now I have been blessed with wonderful friends, who are very kind & generous. The very lovely & talented Dawn, Deborah, Donna & Helen have all given me some Greeting Farm Images. But unfortunately with my addled "Baby Brain" (that's my excuse & I'm sticking to it!) I have forgotten who gave me what - how rude! So I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all four of you beautiful ladies for supplying me with such wonderful images.

Now just in case I don't post again before Christmas - I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. May 2010 be a wonderful year for us all :D. TTFN

Christmas Angel

Posted by Picasa

Hi all,

I just had to share this card I made this afternoon. I am amazed at how well this card turned out. Would you believe this is a mish mash of things? The card base is from an experiment I did with ink & a mini mister filled with water. The nestie cut out is a left over. There are 4 different lots of stamps used:
Hero Arts S5215 Clouds
Darkroom door DDRS020 Christmas Reindeer (peace)
Kaisercraft Belle CS728 (flower flourish)
Greeting Farm Anya Angel?

So because I wanted to make this into a Christmas card I had to add lots & lots of Kindy Glitz & a little bit of bling. I also stamped the red flowers on a seperate piece of c/s then raised them up with Pop dots. I also raised the angel & the peace up to add a little bit of interest. Thanks for stopping by TTFN

Well I thought I should show the rest of these tags as well. I didn't want them to feel left out ;). They aren't the most complicated things to make & a fantastic way to use up scraps. I guess I could have made them more "exciting" but that would have been pushing it for me at the moment. I did manage to use up a lot of scraps from previous two or three christmases. I am giving these away to the mother's at my Mothers' Group. I have put white card on the back to "sandwhich" the ribbon between. So these can be used as either ornaments on the tree or as tags on pressies. Well I'm off to see if I can do something complicated - make a card!! ;D TTFN

PS If you wanna see some beautiful Christmas cards, can I suggest checking out my friend Helen's flickr stream here. Some of these cards have been made with digi elements & I think they are all so very beautiful & inspiring.

Some Christmas tags

Posted by Picasa

Hi all,

Well whilst I haven't been doing any actual card making lately, I was doing a lot of colouring in with my Copic Ciaos. I just love those pens!!! I'm still getting use to them, but I have managed to use all the ink up in one pen already. I've now got get some refil ink, but that unfortunately will have to wait :(.

I am going to give these tags (about 12 in all) to the mothers in the Mothers group that Em I belong to. We are having a dinner out on Monday night so I'm hoping to get them all done before then. Luckily all the Elves are coloured in, so all I have to do is put them on the backgrounds.

Once again thank you for the lovely comments that you leave :D TTFN

A quick Bug update :)

Hi all,

Firstly I just wanna say thanks to all of you for all your lovely comments & emails. I really appreciate them. I also wanna say thanks for checking out my blog & putting up with my non craft entries. Of which this is another one (sorry 'bout that).

Just to let every one know (whether you wanted to or not ;D), I am offically in my second trimester!!! Boy did that go fast or what!!! Here I was thinking I was about 11 weeks this Monday just gone when it turns out I'm really 13 weeks (yesterday).

I had a scan done yesterday & Bug was playing up, me thinks this baby is getting lessons from Em!!! Bug wouldn't turn the way the nurse wanted, but we got there in the end. Doug & Em where in the room with me to start with as we thought Em would like to see the baby, but she soon got sick of that so she & Daddy went out to play with the toys in the waiting room. Which was probably a good thing.

I now have to wait for my next appointment with my obst. to find out the results of the scan & no we aren't finding out the sex of this baby until it decides to come out ;).

Well since I'm feeling so much better (just not cooler lol)I think I may go & make some cards. Have a wonderful weekend all & TTFN

Christmas Traditions

Hi all,

How are you all going this week? I hope that all is well in your part of the world. I also want to take the time to say a HUGE thank you for your support. It has meant a lot to me :). I wish you all a stress free time leading up to Christmas.

I love Christmas time, for me it's a magical time of year. Especially since becoming a mum. Which leads me to a question for all of you. What are your family Christmas traditions? What Christmas traditions do you all love? I am keen to know as we don't have any here in our house yet!

I didn't have any growing up, unless you count putting up the tree & covering it in tinsel. I think a lot of that is because every year we moved & then my parents divorced while I was still quite young. But having said that Christmas has always & always will be one of my most treasured times of year. I made a rule in our house that every second year is spent with Doug's Mum & his side of the family. So that all grandparents in this state can spend some time with their grandkid(s). Unfortunately that means my mum misses out :(. As she lives on the other side of Australia. But we make up for that with lots of phone calls & pictures.

Well I have to go now as Em is ready to write her letter for Santa. Just in case you are all wondering she would like a Dolly from the big guy ;D. TTFN & Happy Holidays.

A Beautiful card & a pregnant rant

Hi all,

Well as usual of late my posting has become even more sparodic, due to in a large part my baby brain!!!! Honestly I am considering changing the name of my blog to "The rantings of a deranged Pregnant woman!" Or TROADPW. I understand that being pregnant changes you. All those little hormones running around doing their best to keep up with the changes & all. But honestly why does that mean I have to have a serious case of BABY BRAIN!!! Or start sobbing (I've gone way beyond crying here) when I watch an ad on the telly for a show I don't even watch!!! I am not a crier normally, ok I will admit getting a tear when watching Animal rescue shows like RSPCA but hey who doesn't. I am also over the feeling ill every SINGLE day, even when I'm taking something that is suppose to help. And don't get me started on the heat! Well enough of the self pity.

This gorgeous card is part of a parcel with some stamped Greeting Farm images from the very lovely & talented Donna Mikasa. Isn't this a beautifully done card. I just love everything about this card. The colours are wonderful, the buttons are so yummy & the image is beautifully coloured in. Plus Donna was clever enough to alter the image of Pregnant Anya. For more info I suggest checking out Donna's blog. She has posted an entry on this wonderful card which does it more justice than I can here.

So thank you all for putting up with my rant today & for all your well wishes. Trust me they are very much appreciated. I also try to visit your blogs regularly as well. Till next time - TTFN

Em's Teachers Gifts & my new Copics :0)

Posted by Picasa

Hi all,

I just thought I would share what Em is going to give her Teachers at Preprep for Christmas. These Bon Bons are so easy to make & are filled up with Ferrero Rochers (yummy chocolates). I got the template for these wonderful Bon Bons from my LSS last Christmas when I went to a one day workshop. I will post the cards Em & I made later.

I am just thrilled to bits that my little girl wants to help me make things. The other day she dragged the computer chair (twice her size & on wheels) over to my craft desk just so she could help. I was over the moon, as I want this to be something we can always do together. I think having a hobby that we can both enjoy is something special.

The images I used are from The Greeting Farm, my wonderful friend Helen gave me some stamped images. I used some of my new Copics (YAY I finally got some!!!!) to colour these images & I can see why every one is raving over them. They are just so beautiful to use. In fact normally I don't colour my stamped images in unless I am going to use them on a project, but last night all I did was colour images in while watching an old Inspector Lynley mystery. I just love playing around with my Copic Ciaos & seeing what happens. Plus having some wonderful images didn't hurt.

The very lovely Donna is such a wonderful caring & giving person. Plus her cards are so inspiring & amazing to boot. I had some questions on using Copics & Donna was very helpful in pointing me in the right direction. I am also getting a card & some wonderful images from her. Unfortunately the Postie around here doesn't seem to understand that this crafter is not the most patient person when it comes to stamped images & cards. So guess who has been lurking around the letterbox each day :0). Donna I will let you know the minute I get your wonderful parcel.

Cardvaarks is having a colour it challenge here so I think I will enter these Bon Bons into the challenge this week.

Well I'm off to do some dreaded house work, people are starting to write in the dust - not good. TTFN

Hi I'm still here & two awards :D

Hi all,

I am sorry that my posts have been so sporadic lately. So guess what this is going to be another very long post. I guess I just haven't been all that inspired of late. Which is a slight problem as Dawn pointed out on her blog that Christmas is only 5 weeks away. I suppose I had better get my fingers inky & do something.

But before I attempt any of that I am going to thank the very lovely & talented Kiara for the Me Me award. Which means I have to divulge 7 secrets about myself, but since I don't really have any secrets I will settle for info instead.

1. I have christened baby No2 "Bug". AS I hate saying "it", when talking about him/her.
2. Doug & I aren't planning on finding out what sex Bug is until Bug is born.
3. I have a calander beside my bed with sayings, so instead of changing the days I change it when I'm sick of the saying. At the moment the saying is "Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live." Now if only I could get Bug to understand this ;).
4. I have finally gotten my hands on Copics!!! My LSS has started to stock the Ciao & I'm in love with them.
5. I love Christmas time, to me it is one of the best times to gather family & friends together & celebrate.
6. I can't believe how blessed I am to have Em as my daughter. She is such a sweet & loving little girl (& full of mischief too).
7. My sister is having a birthday tomorrow & I wish her a very happy day.

Ok now that part is over I am suppose to pass this award onto 7 wonderful people. But since I have two awards I will combine the list at the end.

This Smile award is from the very wonderfully talented Anne.

For this award, I am supposed to share 5 things about myself and pass it on to 5 other people who make me smile!

1. I am still amazed at all the wonderful friends that I have made through the Hero Arts flicker group. You ladies are amazingly talented & super friendly & that means the world to me.
2. I am a Sci Fi fan & would have to rate the first three Star Wars movies as my all time favourites.
3. I am also a closet Romance reader. One of my favourite author's is Nina Bangs, I especially like her Vampire novels.
4. I still want a dog (for Em of course). If I could get my way I would love a chocolate Lab.
5. My favourite TV shows are N.C.I.S., C.S.I., C.S.I. Miami, Eureka & Stargate Universe.

So there you have it, boy that was hard ;). I bet it was even harder for you guys to read. Well if you have made it this far then I appluad you.

Now for my list of People. I would like to nominate the following people in no particular order. But if your name isn't on the list & you want to do the awards then go right ahead :D.

Linda
Virginia
Lucille
Hannah
Carrie
Arlene

I know I am suppose to have five people for the first one & seven for the second one but I figure six is enough or else you all will be getting these ;D. So TTFN & enjoy your weekend.

Firstly am I just one of the luckiest people or what. I got these amazing cards & an award all in the space of a week. These two cards are from the very lovely & talented Linda aka Oz. Mind you the kitty card is actually for Missy Em who absolutely adores it. She saw it & said look mum there's a witchy cat. How cute is that! My only problem was Em wanted to play with the card & I was a mean mummy & said no. But I will keep it safe for her. I just love the moon, it's amazing the way it has been coloured. Linda you are amazing.

This card is from the equally lovely & talented Dawn. This wonderful card was to congratulate us on bub #2. Who I've christened "Bug" btw :D. I just love the colours & that fern leaf. I love all the different layers & textures on this card. Dawn your cards are so inspiring.

Or that when you put certain stamps, inks, techniques & emblishments together that the card you create is beyond what you could ever hope for? Well if you even remotely understand what I am trying to say. Then you will know what this card is to me :). I am so very pleased with this card on so many levels.

But firstly I have to give a shout out to Dawn :) who along with that amazing card she sent to me also included a some stamped Anya images. Thank you so much Dawn, they are just the most awesome images :D. I can see why every one seems to love them so much.

I was really lucky today, not only did my wonderful friend Helen come over to "play" but when we went to our LSS part of our order had arrived :). So both Helen & I got our new Antique Brocade cling stamps. Which we then had to use straight away of course ;P. So I had a wonderful day all round.

Of course it was helped along by a wonderful product...............Mylanta :D. I finally got to a chemist that could help me. I can't tell you how wonderful I have felt all day. Heartburn is not fun, I've decided!!! Anyway have a great Halloween & weekend. TTFN

Christmas Tag

Hi all,

Well I am still getting some crafting done :). I made this tag earlier this week, with my new Darkroom Door stamps. This particular set has been discontinued so I'm really pleased that I grabbed it when I did. I am so happy with the outcome of this tag that I am thinking of making some more. Although all those pearls seem to be a little on the overkill side.

Tag Reciepe:
Tag
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Aged Mahogany
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Peeled Paint
Versafine Spanish Moss
Versafine Crimson Red
Darkroom door Essentials 2 Collection DDRS020 Chrsitmas Reindeer

Thank you to all of you for your wonderful comments, they mean so much to me. Also to answer a few questions: yes I'm still hoping for a dog (chocolate Lab);P. Em knows about the new baby, but I think she doesn't really get it just at the moment.
Well since I'm feeling a bit better I'm off to see what I can do :)- TTFN

Lookie what I got & a little bit of news :D

Posted by Picasa

Hi all,

I know it's been awhile since I last posted. I have been a little pre-occupied over the last week.

I thought I would share what I recieved in the mail today :D. I got this fantastic card from the very lovely Kathy who is a wonderfully talented cardmaker & has her blog here & her flickrstream is here.

Kathy what can I say, other than this is one amazing piece of art. I love every single tiny detail on this wonderful creation. Your colouring is perfect as is your placement of gems. I also love the layers of string/floss on the ribbon. Your cards are so wonderful in cyber space but up close & personal they are just so, so much more. This card is definately going on my cube book case. Along with all my other wonderful cards from family & friends. Thank you, thank you so much I love this card!!!!

Now for my little bit of news. Em is going to be a big sister in June/July next year. I have yet to get a confirmed date but will keep you all posted. So my mojo has decided to go on hols for a while while the wanna be sick & tireds have moved in ;P.

Take care & have a great week end - TTFN

Something a little different

Posted by Picasa

Hi all,

Well for about the last week now I have been in a mojo slump. I have not even been anywhere near my craft desk in fact. So tonight in desperation I went through some of the blogs I have booked marked but haven't had much of a chance to get to. One of which is this blog *e* & the flickr group 52Q a year of mini art journelling. This is something that I have admired for ages but wasn't quite game enough to do. So tonight I decided that I am going to do it. I probably wont join the group so that I don't put any pressure on myself. But this is such a good way for me to try out new techniques, as the tags are smaller than cards. It also lets me use my non Hero Arts stamps & not feel guilty about it.

So tonight I tried out a few newish things for me & basically played with colours (can you tell I love blues & greens at the moment?). I have used the emboss resist, spritzing distress inks on a kraft mat & smooching the paper in it. I also tried Jennifer McGuire's latest video here at the two peas website. Which shows how to create unique backgrounds using a variety of techiques.

I also want to say a huge thank you to the lovely Anne who on her blog here shows how to customise your blogs in easy to understand instructions (& most importantly pictures) than even a techno challenged person like me can understand. Have a great night/day & happy crafting every one TTFN

ATC's as promised :)

Hi all,

Well since I've been feeling a bit down & mojoless this week I thought I would post some ATC's that I have started doing. These three I've made since Hero Arts had them as a challenge two weeks ago. I really like making them & can see why people are so addicted to them. I would also like to give a Huge thankyou to my wonderful friend Arlene for sending me the info on what you put on the backs of these ATCs. Arlene's blog is here & her flickrstream is here so if you get a chance you should check out some of her ATCs.

Hero Art Owl is from Lucy who was kind enough to stamp up some images & send them to me earlier this year. I have wanted to do something with this cute little guy ever since I got him :). I kept this one fairly simple by just adding a scrap of Basic Grey paper from the porcelain series onto Black Cardstock.

Celebrate Owl is actually from a free digi kit called Indie Pops on the Two Peas website. All I did was to cut the image down to fit. I then added Kindy Glitz & Diamond Glaze for a little sparkle.

Butterfly Screen is basically a test ATC. I tried out a few new techniques for me. I did the emboss resist & then used my distress inks on a craft mat & added water to smooch the ATC in. I also experimented with my new alcohol inks on the flowers.

Well thank you for popping in & your wonderful comments. Have a great week ahead & TTFN

Digi cards for Eric

Hi all,

I am doing my first card drive thingy :). My lovely friend Kathy asked if I would be interested in sending some cards to Eric & his family. I am hoping to make some more cards for the family, but thought I would post my first two here. If you are interested in doing something wonderful for someone you don't know then may I suggest that you click here & check it all out. I figure I'm paying it forward :D, by doing something I love for someone I don't know.

I have finally done it, I have advanced to the techno stuff of Digital stamps & papers. I spent most of last night surfin' the 'net trying to find stuff suitable for boys. Do you know that there is absolutely nothing out there!!!! Well in the freebies any way ;P. I did manage to find lots of stuff that I liked & even some papers that I could use on boy type cards. Mind you the downloading part was sort of easy it was getting into all the files that I had problems with. I eventually managed though & created the two cards that you see with some of my new found goodies.

Sending you warm wishes : I have used the stamp image & the red paper from my raid of the 'net. I coloured the cat in with my prisma color pencils & then used the Copic blender to "smooth" the colours out. I went over his sunnies with my black Copic Multiliner & a white gel pen. I also added some grey shadows on one side. The blue bazzil dot paper is from my scrap stash. The sentiment is by Hero Arts.

Friends are Angels: For this card I have just used a freebie paper & my friend Helen's stamp (thanks Helen). I am not 100% sure on this card. I am thinking maybe I should add something else. I stamped the butterfly twice & coloured it with my Twinkling H20s. I am pleased with the way the butterly turned out. I glued the body down but left the wings free so they curl up.

Now I know that I promised ATCs the last time I posted, but as they are for the Hero Arts ATC Swap, I can't share till they are in the hot lil' hands of the others. I have been making some just because so I hope to upload them later in the week. Till then, thanks for stopping by & for your wonderful comments. TTFN

CCC - Arlene :D

Hi all,

Well as you may or may not know I joined Deborah's CCC (Card Chain Challenge) & yesterday I got these two wonderful cards from the very lovely Arlene :D. Am I lucky or what!!!

The Boo card is for the challenge as we had a choice of sketch, colours or a theme to work from. The Shoe card is a just because card. I love them both so they are going to go onto my cube bookcase, along with all my other card treasures (I think it's my version of the "Pool room" from the Castle).

Have a great day/night & thanks for stopping by & for your lovely comments.

A card for Lantie

Hi all,

This is a card I made last night for my niece's b'day in October. I am hoping that she will love it. As she seems to be a bit of a nature girl. I decided to base this card on two challenges. Penny Black's colour challenge of Chocolate, lemon & pink. The second is a sketch challenge at Carol's Sketch Fun, which I discovered through Kath's blog. So thank you Kath :D.

As usual I am using up my scraps. Although the chocolate piece was cut from a brand new piece of Kaisercraft Dutchess collection paper. Naughty I know. But other than the basic brown bazil, it is all I had. I used watercolour paper & my Prisma colour pencils with a Copic blender pen on the stamped image. Just in case you haven't heard of this technique here is what I do. I colour my image using Lisa Spanglers tips then I use a Copic colourless blender to go over the coloured image. It seems to help the colours blend together better. Or I could just be doing it wrong ;). I use this method on lots of my cards not just with the watercolour paper. Well I am going to do some of that dreaded house work so I'd better go. Have a great day/night & thanks for stopping by & your lovely comments - TTFN

Last Caardvark Sketch Challenge :(

Hi all,

Are you all as disappointed as I am that this week's sketch challenge is over at Caardvarks? I have had such fun trying to do all the sketches & can't beflieve that the week is already over.

I really had fun making this card today. Mainly because it's extremely simple. The hardest part was deciding which colours to use. I made the flower by using three of nestibilities scallops & cutting between the "bumps". I then cut out a flower centre from some Basic Grey pattern paper. I used a brad to hold the flower together. Thanks for stopping by & for your lovely comments :D. TTFN

Friday's Caardvark Sketch

Hi all,

Well I can't bellieve it's friday already, can you? Actually it's Saturday where I am, I'm just a tad late posting my sketch cards. I have done two for Friday's sketch challenge. I do like both of them, but am not sure that they are ok for the challege. As I have turned the flower card sort of sideways & the butterfly isn't as defined (with the 3 square shapes) as I would have liked. Oh well I guess I'm always going to be my own worst critic.

Three Flowers
I made the background on the flower card using my mini misters & Vivid re-inkers & a dash of Perfect Pearls. Which I randomly sprayed over white card. Once it was dry I then used Versamark ink & my all time fav background stamp Dots & Flowers (from Hero Arts)to add some interest. The flowers where stamped onto watercolour paper & then I used watercolour pencils & an aqua brush to colour the images. After that all dried I went over the flowers & leaves with Diamond Glaze.

Butterfly
For the this card I inked the edges of the background paper with Tim Holz Faded Jeans I then stamped the branch in Versafine Spanish Moss, the butterfly in Versafine Onyx Black twice (once onto white c/s so I could raise the wings).I coloured the branch with Prisma colour pencils as well as the butterfly. I then used Diamond Glaze on the butterfly to give it a nice sheen. I added buttons to the centers of the flowers. The tag was inked with Tim Holtz Broken China & then stamped with a Hero Arts stamp.

As always thank you all so much for stopping by & leaving such wonderful comments :D. TTFN

Just a share

Hi all,

Just a share tonight. I made these cards with more of my scraps. I always find it so satisfying when I make something really pretty out of left over bits of paper. I guess it's the patchworker in me.

I have made a card tonight for the latest sketch over at Caardvark's. I am just waiting for the Diamond Glaze to dry. Although I think it's a pretty card I am just not sure it will be good enough for the challenge so I might just have to make another one (just in case).

Have a great night & thank you for visiting & for your wonderful comments - TTFN

Caardvark Challenge - Owl & Blossoms

Caardvark Challenge - Owl & Blossoms

Hi all,

Are you all enjoying the latest Caardvark challenges as much as I am?

I decided to use some of my handmade coloured backgrounds for this card. I used Vivid Olive & Spring Green re-inkers & Perfect Pearls to make the green background. I then stamped a Hero Art's BG stamp in versamark & embossed with green, to give it a lift. The Blue piece had a stamped image on it already so I just Fussy cut around it. I used Tim Holtz Distress inks Broken China & Faded Jeans & then lightly sprayed it with a combo of Vivid Corn Flower & Perfect Pearls. I have used Diamond Glaze on all the flowers as well as some pearls. I raised the owl & flower flourish up on popdots. I used my Prisma Colour Pencils on the flowers & owls.

All the images on this card are from friends ;). I used the Owl & branch from Helen & the three flowers & flourish from Lucy. So thank you both so much.

Have a wonderful night/day & thank you for visiting & for your lovely comments - TTFN

Hi all,

Yesterday was a good day. My friend Helen & I caught up & we had a great time together. We did some colouring in & I used my image to make this card. It's for the latest Caardvark challenge sketch here. As you can see I am still using up my BG papers. I just love them so much. Maybe tomorrows (later on today) sketch might inspire me to use different things, who knows! The image is from Penny Black & the sentiment is from Hero Arts. What you are how old?

Hi all,

Well I'm doing it again. Combining two challenges in the one card. Although I'm not sure if this will be ok on the latest Caardvark sketch. The other challenge is over at the Hero Arts Blog, which is to use a photo on your card. Which up till today I have never done. This photo was left over from doing some scrapbooking pages, so I cut it down to fit.

Again I have used my scraps of Basic Grey papers on this card. Em was being a poser (we where trying to get "nice" first day at school photos ;D) & the sentiment just popped into my head. I wanted to make photo cards for her Grandad & Papa as they both have b'days early in October. I am hoping that this card is guyish enough! Have a great night/day, thanks for popping in & for your wonderful comments - TTFN.

Celebrate - One card Two challenges

Celebrate
Originally uploaded by pajalu (Paula)

Hi all,

This little card is for two challenges, The Caardvark sketch here & the Penny Black Lace & Pearl challenge here. I just love that I could combine these two challenges, I really wanted to do the Penny Black challenge but had no idea on where to begin so when I saw the sketch from Caardvark I knew that I was all set.

I borrowed some of my friend Helen's Penny Black stamps & when I saw that this stamp had a cherry on it I thought that it would go really well with my Basic Grey Lemonade scraps. Well it's getting late & I'm probably not making sense so will go to bed now. As always thanks for stopping by ;) & for your wonderful comments - TTFN
