Thanks & cats
Well I just have to say that I had a great time with the I {heart} Hero Arts blog hop. So a huge thank you to Ashley for organising it :D. I would also like to thank every one for their lovely comments that they left me, I really do appreciate them all.
A few people wanted to see photos of my two delinquent cats. So any excuse to show them off :D. I love my cats just as much as I do my kid (not sure if I should have said that) *wink*. Tom (the ginger boy with jewels) is my $5000 stray - what can I say, I have "SUCKER" tattooed across my forehead in cat!!!! He basically came with our house. You know how it is, you buy a cat & get a house........err well something like that :).
Tom is eyeing off a bottle of cold coke at the moment, he loves to lick the condensation off anything cold. He also loves distilled water & goes nuts every time he sees me using it. He is about 12/13 yrs old & is such a big sweetie. I wanted to get Tom a friend as I have to keep him indoors (to cut down on vet bills). I decided to get a kitten as I thought that Tom would take to a kitten more easily than if I had gotten an older cat. But it was such a difficult choice to make as there where so many beautiful (old & young) cats there & the older ones have a harder time getting adopted (so very sad).
I got Smudge (my black & white drama queen) from the Noosa RSPCA as a kitten four years ago now. Can you tell I'm into recycled pets? Smudge is the ratbag of the two & the main trouble maker. She gets called "Bludger" a lot, not because she's lazy but because it rhymes with Smudge (Bludge). She's asleep in her basket on top of the water heater at the moment. She always loves to be in the middle of what ever you are doing. She is really good at being a quilter cat. Which means I have to wash my fabrics more than once. Well I guess I know they wont run :D.
I have to go spend some time making a few cards now, as I have my brother's anniversary comming up in the next week as well as four birthdays. Take care all & TTFN

I {Heart} Hero Arts blog Hop
Hi all,
Well over on the Hero Arts flickr group the lovely Ashley has organised a blog hop. The rules are as follows:
1.) Create a Thank You card for Hero Arts using your favorite Hero Arts stamps (don’t forget to list the stamps you used so others can add them to their wish lists).
2.) Answer these two questions:
a. Tell us your Hero Arts story. How did you get started using Hero Arts products?
b. Hero Arts is full of great people. Tell us why you are thankful for Hero Arts!
So here is my thankyou card. I was inspired by both Lucy & Jenn when I made this card. I was playing with my new nestibilities & have been admiring what these two talented women have been doing using these nesties.
My Hero stamps:
F4927 Scroll Tree
LP032 Decorative Birds
CL272 All Occasion Messages
CL298 Scattered Leaves
Now for the fun part -
How did I get started with Hero Arts stamps? Well I discovered them at my LSS Daisychains. I fell in love with the Decorative Birds & decided to buy them on a whim. Then I discovered the website & the rest they say is history :D.
Why am I thankful for Hero Arts? It is because of two things,I have been challenged constantly with the weekly challenges & made lots of wonderful friends. I love that Hero Arts gives you all the tools you need to make wonderful cards through their website, with their blog, card gallery & techinque articles. I have learnt so much in the last 12 months & I would like to think that has helped me improve my cardmaking skills. The second reason I love Hero Arts is that I have found a whole community of like minded people who have become some really great friends. Which wouldn't have happened if I didn't buy that one stamp & found the website.
So to HERO ARTS I say a huge THANK YOU :D
Have a wonderful blog hop everyone :) maybe we'll cross paths along the way. I can't wait to see what you all come up with. So for now TTFN
Circle of friends Blog award
Well as you can see I have been given "A circle of Friends" Blog award. I got this wonderful award from the very lovely Anne who has a blog called Gaal Creative. Anne has a wonderful blog so if you have never been over there I urge you to check it out as it's her first blogversary :D. There you can see who else Anne has nominated. So the rules are very simple, but I'm going to deviate just a little from them as Anne has nominated a few ladies that frequent my blog as well. So I figure I may as well share the love to some of my Hero Arts friends as well. So I'm going to post links to their flickrstreams instead of blogs :D. Hope that's ok.
So now I am going to nominate the following lovely people for all their support & friendship:
Lucy
Hannah
Linda aka Oz her flickrstream
Kathy
Kiara Lee
I would have nominated a few more ladies but the lovely Anne has already done that so I decided to spread the love :) with these wonderful ladies. So please go & visit their blogs, I know you will love them as much as I do.
To pick up the Circle of Friends Blog Award:
1.Cut and paste the award logo and use it on your own blog.
2.Nominate at least 5 other bloggers you feel have become part of your circle of friends.
3.Link to your nominees within your blog post.
4.Include these instructions on how to pick up the award in your blog post.
5.Link back to the person who gave you the award in your blog post, to show your appreciation.
6.Comment on their blogs to let them know they've received the award.

Well I have wanted to make a card using one of the lovely Miss Hannah's sketch of the week for simply ages & ages. So I used this sketch to make this card. I know I'm not showing the whole card but I thought a sneaky peek would be enough for now. I am hoping to post a proper picture once I know the person has this card, I want her to enjoy the card before I share. I know I'm strange, but hey at least I'm friendly strange & not scary strange lol :D. TTFN

CPS 124 Challenge
Hi all,
I am feeling so much better today :-D so I have made a card. This one didn't take me tht long to do as I used the CPS sketch for this week. I decided to make some Father's Day cards so I have a selection on hand for Em to give out to her Daddy, Granddad & PaPa. This is another one of my scrap cards. I have nearly used up all my manly scraps. Which is good, as I am trying so hard to not any more paper. I also got to use my latest Hero Arts stamps, that I brought at the scrapbooking expo recently. I also used my Artistic window stamps (script) on the background as well as my new nesties. I think this card could be a lot better, but my brain isn't quiet there yet *wink*. I am hoping tomorrow will be better. TTFN

Em & the library bag
Em & the library bag
Originally uploaded by pajalu (Paula)
HI all,
I know it's been awhile since I last posted. I have been a bit under the weather for the last week & a bit. But since I've been on the antibiotics I have started to come good again.
I just wanted to share the library bag that I have made for my dd. Em helped me choose the fabrics for this bag. She got so excited with the nursery rhyme fabric (I used it on the inside & for the strap) but Em really like the animal print, so I used that for the main part of the bag. I wanted to get some photo's of her with her bag but I couldn't get Em to look at me she was so busy looking at her new bag. It was wonderful to get back into my sewing again. I didn't realise how much I've missed playing with my fabrics. I am hoping that now I'm feeling better I can finish quilting a couple of quilts. I also want to get Em's bed quilt done as well.

Another challenge card
This is the sketch over at Mojo Monday for this week. So I have made this card for the challenge
I have used more of my scraps. I absolutely love these Basic Grey papers, so am using up every little bit of them. I am really pleased with the way this card has turned out. As I got really "brave" & used a splash of orange on the flowers. I am not a huge fan of orange & up till recently I haven't used it a lot.
Card list:
Scraps of Basic Grey papers,
Pink ribbon,
White ribbon,
White embossing powder,
Hero Arts Heartwing Butterfly,
Hero Arts Dandelion,
Unknown orange paper flowers,
Kaiser bling - Green,

CPS challenge 122
Hi all,
Well I have been extremely busy making cards for an order today. This is one of four cards that I have made with a boy's birthday theme. I thought I would use the CPS sketch challenge for this week as my starting point. This card is using up more scraps. I have made all four cards out of these papers & some other co-ordinating papers as that is what my friend wanted. I am hoping that she will like them. I am hoping that all the kindy glitz will dry by tomorrow as that is when I will be seeing her (wish me luck). Well that's all for tonight. TTFN
