Daisy Chains & sketches

Hi Lovelies,

This particular story starts about 6ish weeks ago.  I was in my LSS Daisy Chain Scrapbooks chatting to the owner Barbi about how I had just started doing my own sketches, which I was doing for Try Stampin' on Tuesdays.  So you can imagine how surprised I was when Barbi asked me to do one sketch a month for her & some examples of each sketch.  So now that I've finally gotten organised sort of.  I thought I would share them here with you each week.  I am going to put up a link to Daisy Chain on my sidebar as well, so if you are ever on the Sunshine Coast or see something from my sketches & want it you know where to go.  As all my stuff for Barbi is from her wonderful shop.  I swear I'd live there if I could!

Here is the sketch for July:

Here are some of the cards I have made for this sketch.

Sorry about the blurry quality of the Alien photo (I will replace it later).  I used the fantastic "Blast Off" 6.5" pad, "Aliens" 12 x 12" pp & Gems from Kaisercraft.  The sentiment is by Hero Arts called CL139 "Birthday Messages".

This card is so sweet, the Purple/Aqua colours pop in real life.  I used some of my newest items on this card.  They include Chicken Wire - by Die-namics, Pennants by Spellbinders, Pure Innocence for My Favourite Things - An apple for you & lastly Mini Hexagons 6 x 6" template by Balzer Designs for The Crafters Workshop.  If you look closely at the Aqua bazzil you will see I've lightly gone over it with Peacock Feathers distress ink, using the template.  (I've been inspired by Anne Gaal & her use of templates).

This last card I made today using another Kaisercraft range called Enchanted Garden.  You will probably see me using this a lot in the near future.  The colours are just gorgeous, the stamps wonderful & I even brought the matching Rub-ons!  I don't normally have a lot of sucess with Rub-ons so if you have any tips on how to apply them let me know please.

I did make another card with this sketch.  It was a guy card, I can't share it with you though as Norma (she teaches the most wonderful card/cuttlebug classes) wants to use it in a class.  So I hope to share it with you all at a later date.

Hi, Paula! I love the "alien" card! So fun and cheerful! The chicken-wire die cut is fabulous. And I like the shimmer and shine on your magic card! So many lovely goodies! ♥
