Jingle Belles Challenge

Hi everyone,

Well I've been able to make a few cards this last week.  I even mastered Gimp (sort of).  Just wish I knew how to upload to the internet what I have done.  Any ideas, any one?  I am slowly becoming computer (kicking & screaming all the way) smart.

Any hoo, this is my latest card for the Jingle Belles challenge this week.  What do you think?  I made a lot of boo boos on this card.  That'll teach me to do things when I'm bone tired.  I stamped the sentiment crooked (so hate that), so then had to angle the nestie label on an angle.  Then somehow I managed to not align my papers correctly, so a knotted ribbon covered that.  Lastly I managed to get a black mark on the pink background, so gems covered that up.  I also managed to make the distress inks run when I used some Pearl-ex & water.  Oh well, I guess that these things happen.

Well I'd better be going, I'm trying to get both my girls to have a sleep this arvo (so wish I could have one ;P)

Happy crafting every one xoxoxoxo

If you hadn't pointed out the boo boos I wouldn't have noticed Paula... adds to the look of the card. You will be well ahead for Christmas if you continue at this rate!

I make lots of mistakes when I am tired and can sometimes cover up with a button, brad, prima...

But the angled Nestie label is much more interesting and artsy. As a former math teacher I tend to always put things straight, but I am trying to relax and let my right brain work more than the left LOL :)

Your trees are charming (bad pun, I know) and I love the stamped background behind them. Lovely!!!

ok, i have to say first: I ♥LOVE♥ your card! and second: the "boo boos" you made...are actually MY FAVORITE PARTS!!!

the angled nestie labels are *brilliant*... (and made me mentally say, "why didn't *I* think of that?!??!) ...the knotted ribbon is PERFECT... and the gems are FAB! this would have been a very cool card anyway, but now it is ♥AWESOME♥! :)

I call them "design opportunities" rather than boo-boos ... I agree, the angled sentiment and cluster of gems are two of my favorite parts of the design ... fabulous holiday card. Thanks for joining our jingle belle journey.

I agree with everybody else, I don't see no stinkin boo boos (lol), you're too hard on yourself! This is a lovely card and it's going to make its recipient all smiley and feeling special!

I think the fixing of boo boo's is what makes your card so utterly charming :) Very clever of you to think of ways to hide things. I love how your card turned out :)

Sometimes mistakes are greater opportunities. This came out wonderful. I love the addition of the gems and your ribbon is super.
